On November 20th, 2015, Ameco and Pratt & Whitney signed a Standard Maintenance Contact in Beijing, which makes Ameco the IAE approved repair station to undertake engine MRO services for V2500 users in global.
In order to enhance competitive edge and provide customers with more services, Ameco developed overhaul and modification capability on V2500-A5 series and the capability application was approved by CAAC, FAA, and EASA in the first half of 2015. Then, a V2500 engine of Air China was inducted into Ameco engine workshop in Beijing for overhaul, which is the first event after the capability approval.
Ameco has more than 25 experiences for civil aviation engine MRO services. In addition to V2500-A5 series, Ameco overhauls PW4000 series and RB211-535E4 series, also provides QEC kit and module change on CFM56 series and modification services on CF34. Besides, Ameco Chengdu Branch has been authorized by Honeywell Aerospace as a warranty repair station for GTCP 131-9A/B auxiliary power units since November of 2014, which made it the first MRO provider in China for this service.
