Event Background

The 1st Southeast Asia Ride-Hailing Industry Summit

The Wave of Digital Transformation and Electrification.

Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic and diverse regions in the world—home to more than 650 million people, a rapidly growing middle class, and some of the world's most vibrant cities. As urbanization accelerates and smartphone penetration soars, digital platforms have emerged as essential infrastructure for daily life. Among them, ride-hailing services have become a vital force in reshaping mobility across the region.

Since their emergence in the early 2010s, ride-hailing platforms have experienced exponential growth in Southeast Asia. By 2025, the sector is projected to reach a market size of approximately USD 20 billion, reflecting its integral role in addressing the mobility needs of a young, tech-savvy population and the evolving urban landscape.

Despite common trends, each country in the region presents its own unique challenges and opportunities. From differing traffic regulations—such as left-hand vs. right-hand driving—to varying political systems and infrastructure maturity, the diversity of Southeast Asia demands locally adapted yet regionally connected solutions.

We are proud to launch the 1st Southeast Asia Ride-Hailing Industry Summit, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand. Thailand—one of the region's leading tourism destinations with over 28 million inbound tourists annually—is at the forefront of integrating ride-hailing services into its broader economic and mobility strategy. It is also a regional leader in the push toward vehicle electrification, making it an ideal host for this forward-looking forum.

The summit will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, technology innovators, and mobility experts to explore shared challenges, highlight best practices, and advance cross-border cooperation in digital transportation. Key topics will include electrification, safety, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable growth.

Join us this June in Bangkok as we shape the future of ride-hailing industry in Southeast Asia—together.
