Alexander F. Rasnavad

Alex Rasnavad has over a decade of experience in the aviation industry and has been based in the Asia Pacific region since 2008. Alex is based in the Company’s Singapore office and is primarily responsible for the development and execution of aircraft sale and acquisition campaigns along with other aircraft trading related initiatives for AWAS with particular focus on Asia Pacific investor markets.

Prior to joining AWAS in July 2012, Alex held the position of Senior Vice President for boutique aviation investment banking firm, SkyWorks Capital, LLC. At SkyWorks Capital, LLC, Alex was part of the founding team of the firm’s Asia joint venture company with Cathay Pacific Airways and Air China where he advised airlines, leasing companies, and investors globally on various aircraft financing and acquisition matters, in addition to corporate finance, M&A and strategic undertakings.

Alex graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2005 with a degree in International Political Economy with an emphasis on emerging markets.

David Yu

David is the Managing Director, CFO and Co-Founder of Inception Aviation Holdings, an aviation investment firm.  He heads up efforts to provide investment and financing solutions and advisory services to airlines, lessors, investors and financial institutions. David is an recognized expert in cross border finance and investing.  He is also a Executive Director Asia of IBA Group, a leading global aircraft appraisal and consultancy.  In addition, David has extensive experience in direct investments and financing across industries globally including deal origination, analysis, structuring, financing, and senior management responsibilities.

Previously, he was lastly China Chief Representative, VP Asia and Executive Committee member at Libra Group, a Greek family investment conglomerate, where he was responsible for all of Libra’s Asian interests including energy, hotels, real estate, shipping and aviation.  Prior to Libra, David worked in investment banking with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s' Global Industries Group, where he was focused on M&A, debt and equity transactions in transportation, aerospace and defense, and diversified industrials.

David is a CFA Charterholder and has a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science (full honors) and an M.S. in Systems Analysis and Applied Economics (Dept. of Geography and Environmental Engineering) from the Johns Hopkins University. He also has an M.B.A. in general management with a concentration in finance from New York University's Stern School of Business and studied at Peking University's Guanghua School of Management and National University of Singapore’s School of Business.  He is a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins University's Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health and the Study of Business Enterprise. He is a member of ISTAT, CFA Institute and is a candidate ISTAT certified aircraft appraiser. He is a frequent invited speaker at industry conferences and have been interviewed in top industry and general publications.

Alok Anand

Acumen Aviation

Alok Anand is the Chief Executive Officer of Acumen Aviation, an aircraft technical consultancy firm based in India. Started in 2009, Acumen has been continually engaged by leading aircraft lessors to monitor their assets across the globe.

Alok started his career as an AME and in due course, transitioned to an entrepreneur with Acumen Aviation. Prior to Acumen, Alok held various senior positions in the engineering department of airlines in India.

He is an ardent reader and never misses an opportunity to enjoy sky-diving on a fine day.
